MR. SANJAY KHURANA

Sanjay Khurana is a renowned NRI Businessman and Philanthropist. He has risen from his humble beginning and out of his own sheer gut and determination. He was born in Meerut, India in the year 1961. His father Late Dr. Hari Krishan Khurana was a Medical Practitioner. Sanjay migrated to U.S.A. in the year 1978 and joined the Prestigious New York Institute of Technology and Graduated with B.E in Electrical Engineering.

After completion of his studies he started on his own as an Entrepreneur and opened various pharmacy outlets in New York and also dabbled in real estate. Thereafter, with changing times he shifted his sight towards the telecom sector and met with huge success therein.


Despite having met huge success and having lived for more than two decades in U.S.A. the love for his home land and wish to serve his fellow countrymen brought him back to India in the year 2001 and he became the President of Human Care Medical Charitable Trust, Dwarka, Delhi and sought to establish a State of the Art Multi Speciality Hospital to provide cost effective Medical facilities to the public at large and also provide medical aid to all section of the society.

With his tireless gut and determination, has been instrumental in setting up a State of the Art Multi Speciality Hospital in Sector-6, Dwarka which is a benchmark in Delhi NCR in the field of medical facilities it seems to provide to the citizen of the India & World at large.


MR. ISH KUMAR

Dr. Ish Kumar is a neurosurgeon with over six decades of medical experience practicing neurosurgery in New Delhi, India and in the United States. After graduating from the prestigious Government Medical College, Patiala, in Punjab, India, Dr. Ish trained at Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital (formerly known as Willingdon Hospital) in New Delhi, Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, the second largest teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School, Lahey Hospital in Massachusetts and Metropolitan/New York Hospital in New York City.

Dr. Ish has extensive experience of performing surgery for severe head and spinal injury including: microsurgery, skull base surgery and instrumentation and stabilization of spine. He launched his private practice in 1974 in Nassau County, working with numerous local hospitals. Dr. Ish served as the President of the Hempstead General Hospital medical staff for two years, as well as participated and chaired several hospital committees throughout the Nassau County community. He is also very active in the Indian community in the United States.

In 2018, Dr. Ish realized a lifelong dream, when together with his wife, Dr. Nirmal Kumar, and his brother-in-laws Sanjay Khurana, they opened a hospital in New Delhi, India, with a focus on serving the Indian society at large. The Manipal Dwarka hospital is under the sponsorship of The Human Care Charitable Trust, of which Dr. Ish serves as Treasurer. Dr. Ish is also a member of the Leadership Council of the Harvard School of Public Health, and plans on pursuing public health initiatives in India during his retirement.


DR. NIRMAL KHURANA KUMAR

Dr. Nirmal Khurana Kumar, M.D. F.A.A.P, M.B.A. , is a pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a member of the New York Academy of Pediatrics and the Nassau County Pediatric Society. For over four decades, Dr. Nirmal provided primary medical care to newborns, infants, children and adolescents in Nassau County. She has also provided community healthcare to the in India at large in New York City.

Dr. Nirmal is a graduate of the prestigious Lady Hardinge Medical College of New Delhi, India, where she was awarded a full scholarship based on academic merit. She immigrated to the United States in 1969, and began her residency at Metropolitan Hospital/New York Medical College in New York City. After completing her residency, Dr. Nirmal launched her private practice in 1974, with a portion of her practice dedicated to serving the needy. She covered South Nassau Community Hospital, Mercy Medical Center and Nassau County Medical Center.

Dr. Nirmal also served as an attending physician at Nassau County Medical Center, Winthrop Hospital where she taught pediatric residents and participated in several committees at area hospitals, including serving as Chairperson of the Perinatal Mortality and Utilization Committees at Mercy Medical Center and South Nassau Community Hospital. She also presented original research entitled, “Hypertension in Congenital Syphillis” and earned the Academic Excellency Award at Mercy Hospital and United Healthcare.

Upon the advent of healthcare management organizations, Dr. Nirmal served on numerous credentialing and executive committees. In 2000, Dr. Nirmal furthered her studies, seeking to bring business concepts to medical management, and earned an M.B.A. From the Executive M.B.A. Program in Finance from Long Island University. She is also very active in the Indian community in the United States.

In 2018, Dr. Nirmal realized a lifelong dream, when together with her husband, Dr. Ish Kumar and brother, Sanjay Khurana opened a hospital in Dwarka, Delhi, India, with a focus on serving the Indian society at large. The Manipal hospital under the sponsorship of The Human Care Medical Charitable Trust, of which Dr. Nirmal serves as CEO. Dr. Nirmal is also a member of the Leadership Council of the Harvard School of Public Health, and plans on pursuing public health initiatives in India during her retirement.


ARCHANA MAGO KHURANA

VICE PRESIDENT

B.Sc., LL.B from Delhi University

She is a qualified lawyer by profession and is associated with the Trust in capacity of member trustee. Archana has been associated with Trust in providing legal guidance & related matters. She is also well versed with medical profession due to her long 8-10 years association with the medical related legal matters. She is on the committee as its Vice President and will provide administrative and management services to the hospital once the hospital starts its operation.

Archana's urge to full fill her husband wish to built a state of art hospital and stand beside him in all thick and thin make her a unique person. Her active participation since inception in day to day business of HCMC TRUST makes it function smoothly.


SONIA KHURANA

GENERAL SECRETARY

HUMAN CARE MEDICAL CHARITABLE TRUST

Sonia Khurana graduated with a Masters in Health Administration in 2015. She is currently working for Allscripts which is associated with Northwell Health as a Senior Business Analyst.

All scripts is a vendor which owns Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM), an EHR, which supports the ability to document a patient’s medical history from admission to discharge. Sunrise Clinical Manager supports all modules of a hospital’s infrastructure including the Emergency Department, Outpatient, Inpatient, Ambulatory Surgery, and Pharmacy.

Sonia’s responsibilities involve working with upper management to help design and thoroughly test aspects of SCM. This effort not only helps to promote patient safety, but also helps providers and supporting staff to be able to conduct daily responsibilities with ease given the daily pressures of the hospital environment.

Additionally, her responsibilities involve meeting with providers of departmental heads at various hospitals and ensuring they are comfortable documenting information in SCM and relay any information/tips they can bring back to their supporting staff through the one on one sessions conducted with them at site visits.

Sonia's contribution to the HCMC TRUST is immense from the beginning to the completion of the project. Her idea on managing the hospital day-to-day function and stream line the management are greatly appreciated.


NISHA KUMAR

EXECUTIVE MEMBER

HUMAN CARE MEDICAL CHARITABLE TRUST

Nisha Kumar is a Managing Director and the Chief Financial and Chief Compliance Officer of a US based private equity firm. She oversees all financial reporting, investor relations, administrative and compliance aspects of the firm. She is a member of the firm’s Management Committee.

Nisha Kumar joined this position as CFCCO in 2011 after spending over 15 years as a mergers and acquisitions and operating executive in the media and internet industries. Prior to joining, she was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of AOL, the multi-billion dollar global internet company. From 2001-2007, Ms. Nisha was a senior executive at global media company Time Warner Inc., including Vice President--Mergers & Acquisitions and Vice President--Operations, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. Ms. Nisha was also Vice President--Corporate Development at e-commerce pioneer priceline.com and began her career in Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division, where she advised large-cap media and internet companies on various mergers, acquisitions and corporate financings. In 2007, Nisha Kumar was profiled in Dealmaker magazine as a woman breaking the glass ceiling in mergers and acquisitions.

Since 2016, Nisha Kumar has served as independent director of The India Fund, Inc. and The Asia Tigers Fund, Inc., two closed-end equity funds of Aberdeen Asset Management PLC. She currently serves as the Audit Committee Financial Expert on these two funds. In 2017, Ms. Nisha became an independent director of the Aberdeen Income Credit Strategies Fund.

Nisha Kumar is a member of the Leadership Council of the Harvard School of Public Health, the Harvard School of Public Health’s India Advisory Council and the Council on Foreign Relations.

Nisha Kumar graduated from Harvard and Radcliffe Colleges with an AB in government, magna cum laude, in 1991 and with an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1995.

Nisha's advice on the financial matters related to the HCMC TRUST and her vision on project will be always commendable.


Dr. ANGELISH

EXECUTIVE MEMBER

HUMAN CARE MEDICAL CHARITABLE TRUST

Dr. Angelish received her undergraduate degree from Tufts University College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, and her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine where she graduated with honors. Dr. Angelish completed her urology residency at New York University Langone Medical Center.

She treats a wide range of urologic conditions including voiding dysfunction, kidney stones, urinary tract obstruction, benign prostatic hyperplasia, infections, and urologic malignancies. She specializes in the treatment of women with bladder and pelvic floor dysfunction, overactive bladder, painful bladder syndrome, recurrent urinary tract infections, vaginal discomfort, painful intercourse, incontinence and prolapse. Dr Angelish utilizes a comprehensive and integrative approach to treating female voiding dysfunction, and utilizes minimally invasive techniques to treat incontinence and prolapse.

Dr. Angelish is board certified by the Amercian Board of Urology. She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, American Urologic Association, Society for Urodynamics and Female Urogenital Reconstruction, and the American and International Urogynecologic Societies.

Dr. Angelish gave her best suggestions on formation of different medical department and selection of medical equipment and their necessity in the HCMC Trust project.
